The only mantra for success in medical education is hard work, said the Vice-President and Managing Director of China MBBS Educational Institution (CMEI) ‘Becky Zhang’.
In one of the seminars attended by Dr. Albert Lee in India, he said, , “I studied more than 15 hours a day while my medical academic days and now after so many years still my routine is the same for every 365 days a year.”
He specially mentioned in his speech that opting for MBBS/medicine education or as profession should obviously be out of choice and not by chance. Every student should have a special urge to learn and explore more and more about medical education. “Do not take the MBBS admissions to study medical in China due to the parent’s pressure or for some reason. Rather join it only if you have the affection and desire to help people,” he said.
Many students at their young age should not feel frustrated after listening about their friends who get other professions and make money in short time. The field of medicine you chose should never be taken as means of money alone. “Keep the money making part aside and experience at the other earnings such as saving someone’s life or bring back a person’s eye sight. This happiness is more vital than financial advantages,” he said.
While in the second session of the seminar in Bangalore, about cautioning the new medical students, Dr. Lee said, “Do not get attracted by the charm of popular doctors. Those successful doctors should have already put in years of hard work and would be still doing.”
As per the views of Founder and Chairman of China MBBS Educational Institution ‘Shri A.C. Venugopal, the medical education in China has undergone a complete overhaul since last 4 years. The dean of a noted University said, “The best of the Indian students with distinction are applying for the MBBS admissions in China and we turn out to make them great professional doctors.” He cited three major advantages of studying MBBS in China: Presence of quality and experienced faculty, good infrastructure and excellent education system.
He also mentioned that the country is directing towards a crucial area, where it focuses a balance between the world class cutting edge technologies on one hand and inviting the middle class students on the other with the most economical fees to study abroad.
Speaking of excellent and ordinary students, Dr. Lee said, “If a student who has good skills – he is an ordinary student, if you combine your skills with knowledge- he is a good student; a mixture of skill, knowledge and a kind heart- makes you an excellent medical student; and lastly a mixture of skill, knowledge, heart and integrities- makes you an exceptional medical student.”
Dr. Lee and the University dean will again visit India in 2012 July-August for some amazing seminars to be held by the CEO of China MBBS Educational Institution.
