MBBS in China: There is good news for Indian students aspiring to become doctors by studying MBBS in China. After two years, the number of seats for the MBBS degree course has increased from 30 to 80 at the Shihezi Medical University and hospital, from this academic year.
The University has obtained permission from the Ministry of Education in China as well as from the Medical Council of India (MCI)- which is now officially mentioned on the MCI website.
Speaking to China MBBS Educational Institution (CMEI), the Dean of Shihezi University Mr. Lee said, “We sent a letter of intent to the Ministry of Education last year informing them that we are prepared to accept more students from India since we have amazing financial and infrastructural requirements to increase the number of seats at Shihezi University from 30 to 80.”
The MCI inspected the University and gave an official letter to the Ministry of Education for the increase of the number of seats for MBBS admissions. They also posted the updated number of seats on their official website.
“Since we have received the letter of confirmation from the MCI, we have started taking the applications of Indian students for MBBS admissions from this academic year,” said Mr. Lee.
CMEI has already started the seminars in various parts of India, especially in South India for giving spot-on admissions. After the seminars the delegates from China will issue the Admission Letter for MBBS degree course in Shihezi University for the academic year, Sept. 2012.
Issuing immediate spot-on admission letter to students has been started from this year and will also bring a rise in the number of students for studying in China. This also gives a good and clear message to parents that the University and the CMEI Support Team is completely responsible for their children and the tenure of their studies in China would be absolutely safe.
This will also create an opportunity for the Indian students to by-pass all the sub-agents who charge very high commission fees to send students to study MBBS in China. CMEI has allocated various franchisee agents for particular regions in India and takes complete responsibility of the counseling and guidance given to the students and parents.
